Operating for over 50 years on East Lake Simcoe

Welcome to the
Ice Fishing Season

Mitchell's Fish Huts is located in Beaverton, Ontario along the eastern shore of Lake Simcoe - just 70 min North of Toronto. Lake Simcoe is known for its spectacular Perch fishing, along with the popular Whitefish, Lake Trout and Herring species. The team at Mitchell's Fish Huts aims to give every customer an enjoyable ice fishing experience, while keeping safety as the main focus.

If your an advanced fisherman, new to the sport of ice fishing, or just looking to get out for a day with friends or family, Mitchell's Fish Huts is the place to go!!

This year looks a little different with Covid-19 but we are working hard, to continue giving our customers the Ice Fishing experience they are looking for. Please take a moment to review the COVID-19 Regulations to ensure everyone remains safe.

Transportation Included

Arrive in comfort to your ice hut or bungalow! Transportation to and from your Hut or Bungalow rental is included in our prices.

During the early stages of our ice fishing season (when ice is 12" or less), we travel and transport customers to and from the huts with snowmobiles and covered carrier sleighs. All of our carriers have padded seats and full coverage to keep our customers comfy and out of the winter elements during transportation.

When mother nature cooperates, and we get the appropriate amount of ice, we are able to travel the lake and transport customers with one of our many Bombardier Snow Buses.

Our Fleet of snow buses are a unique mode of transportation dating back as far as the 1950s. These machines have stood the test of time, and still remain a great and efficient mode of transportation on Lake Simcoe.
